Carl Radke is an extremely talented glass artist who is highly respected within the art glass community. He is most well known as one of the principal participants in the renaissance of Silver Lustre Glass in the early 1970's. Lustre art glass is a style of glass that was originally created by Louis Tiffany in the late 1800's. By the mid 1920's it had fallen out of style and very nearly became a lost art. Lustre glass is an extremely difficult medium to work with greatly owing to the fact that the raw glass can be maintained in the oven for only a brief time before it begins to degenerate.
