Natural, authentic, handcrafted
Sanctuary is an “escape from the ordinary,” according to owner Christie Minervini. “Our products are a unique reflection of the natural world and mix well in most any setting.”
Established in the former 1,800 sq. ft. Gallery Fifty space, Sanctuary opened in January 2017. It is situated among the shops and restaurants in “Building 50″ as part of The Village at Grand Traverse Commons, the historic 19th century insane asylum formerly known as the Traverse City State Hospital.
Muted earth tones, stripped down industrial fixtures and furnishings, live plants, as well as proper lighting and music create a soothing, peaceful shopping environment. Customers will recognize long-time favorites while being introduced to new work from many others.
